Content Policy
Last updated 22 October 2026
What we publish, how we classify it, and how we label video made with AI tools. Published in line with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.
What we publish
Original short-form family and relationship drama, written in-house and told in vertical episodes. Our stories are emotional and moral in intent — about ordinary households, work, marriage, parents and children.
What we do not publish
- Sexual content, nudity or vulgarity of any kind
- Gratuitous or glorified violence
- Content that demeans a religion, caste, community, region or gender
- Content that threatens the sovereignty, integrity or security of India, or public order
- Content harmful to children
Age classification
Every title is classified before it is published, and the rating is shown on the story page. The reviewer's name and the date of classification are recorded internally and retained for three years.
| Rating | Meaning | Guidance |
|---|---|---|
| U | Universal | Suitable for everyone, including children. |
| U/A 7+ | Parental guidance 7+ | Mild themes; guidance advised for under-7s. |
| U/A 13+ | Parental guidance 13+ | Themes better suited to viewers over 13. |
| U/A 16+ | Parental guidance 16+ | Mature themes; guidance advised under 16. |
| A | Adults only | Restricted to viewers aged 18 and above. |
Titles rated U/A 13+ and above carry an on-screen advisory. Titles rated A are restricted and require age confirmation. Every title currently published on IraShorts is rated U.
Video produced with AI tools
Our scripts are written by people. Some or all of the video is then produced using generative AI tools. Where that is the case the title carries a visible AI-generated label on the story page and in the player, and the disclosure is repeated in the episode description.
We do not generate the likeness of any real person, living or dead. Characters are invented. We do not present AI-produced video as documentary footage or as a record of real events.
Accessibility
We are working towards captions on all titles, starting with the most-watched, in line with the Ministry's accessibility guidelines for the sector.
